I love Las Vegas!
The Nightlife in Las Vegas is limitless options
A handful of the clubs I’ve been to are Studio 64 in MGM, Coyote Ugly in New York New York and Rum Jungle in Mandalay Bay. They are all 21 and over, and a bit pricey.
If planning to go to a club expect to pay a cover, as well as to dress up! This is the time to go all out, wearing something so flash it is borderline costumey. There is even one club, Drais, that doesn’t open until late night for those who are ready to party well into the morning.
A few other popular spots are the world-famous Pure with its partner, the Pussycat Dolls Lounge, in Caesar’s Palace and Voodoo Lounge in the Rio.
For those who aren’t into dancing the night away, there is a fantastic duelling piano bar called the Times Square Piano Bar in New York New York and a House of Blues at Mandalay Bay.
Under-agers have a bit more of a challenge, but New York New York has a thrilling rollercoaster, the Manhattan Express, where you can catch the bright lights of the city while whizzing past. Another great place for both views and thrills is the Stratosphere tower. For $29.95 you can head up to the observation deck where you can see both the Strip and Old Vegas and go on three fantastic rides. I tried them out and my personal favorite was a swing that dangles you over the edge called ‘Insanity’.
Paris Las Vegas also has an Eiffel Tower replica in the center of the strip where you can check out great views as well – there is even a restaurant where you can eat and gaze out over the Bellagio fountains all lit up. Contiki offers the real-deal Vegas cabaret show with ‘Jubilee’, but if you are looking to compliment it on your off night with something different you can pre-book tickets online or pop into the TIX4TTonight discount ticket booth at MGM.
I’ve checked out a good dozen shows along the Strip, and I have to say catching Jerry Seinfeld at the Colosseum and Cirque du Soleil’s KA at MGM were my favourites. The Forum Shops are open late for shoppers and there are dining options well into the night as well! And of course GAMBLING! For those who are happy to lose, go ahead and lose and lose all night long! Or maybe win.
